Welcome to the Château de Gourgazaud

The Château de Gourgazaud, sheltered by the lower slopes of the Montagne Noire, was one of the pioneers in the development of top-quality wines from the Minervois.
The Château is mentioned on maps from the 17th century.
Its vineyard, covering an area of 100 hectares, shelters a wide range of grape varieties, producing red or white wines: Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier, Chardonnay and Sauvignon.


The family

The Château de Gourgazaud is owned by a family with the goal of crafting great tasting wines assisted by compliment of skilled and committed staff.

The region

Minervois is one of the most ancient vineyards of the Mediterranean region. Indeed, its land was chosen by the Romans as providing ideal conditions for the first vines they planted
